A weavers Journey

While working as a bicycle messenger, Ryan discovered weaving and was instantly hooked. Between deliveries, he began weaving scarves from thrifted wool, selling them to augment his income while refining his craft. Weaving proved to be fast, efficient, and deeply rewarding, sparking a lifelong passion for natural fibres and sustainable materials.

What started as a side project became woven—quite literally—into Knotty by Nature, shaping the looms, fibres, and workshops we offer today—including our $2-per-day rigid heddle loom rentals, making weaving more accessible to everyone.
