What’s New!

• Ryan has been continuing to dye up a storm! We have paired merino with silk in the dye pot for your spinning/felting pleasure. Plying the silk with the wool has quite an effect!
• Ryan's hand dyed silk and wool pairing
• A sample of the pairing spn up in a 2 ply

• Ashford has come out with a new model for the Joy spinning wheel, which allows for a Jumbo kit, so people can now spin novelty yarns on their Joy! Our floor model is the old model so we are offering a great one-time special of $440, normally $754, there is only the one wheel!

• We have local lambs Cotswold in roving and raw fleece! Cotswold is an ancient breed which originated in the Cotswold Hills of Gloucestershire, England. The fleece makes beautiful beards for needle felting, absorbs dye beautifully, and handpsinners find it most suitable for outwear or hard wearing rug and carpet yarns.

We have quite a wide selection of wool fet in from Holland!

Did You Know…
"When wool sales fell in 1667, England passed the faous Flannel Act. This required that every corpse be buried completely dressed in wool. The law also compelled all living persons to be fully clothed in wool from All Saints Day (November 1) to April. Purpose of the law was to help keep spinners and weavers employed. " From Spin Span Spun; B. Hochberg, pg 50.

Hours
We are open 7 days a week, Mondays- Saturdays, 9:30am-5:30pm and on Sundays from 10am - 5pm.

An example of Ashford's mernio and silk blend, spun on my drop spindle and 3 plied on the wheel. There are 4 new colors that Ashford has added to this line.

Monthly Socials
This month's social is Friday February 19th, 6:30-9pm. Please note we will be closed from 5:30-6:30pm for a quick dinner break.
